Oakland Panthers Hire Roberta Gonzales as Game Day Host

The Oakland Panthers are proud to announce the Bay Area's much-loved Roberta Gonzales has been named the Oakland Panthers Game Day Host and Community/Videography Consultant. With over 30 years of Television and Radio Experience, Gonzales provides a wealth of knowledge to the Panthers team as well as an energy boost to the gameday experience.

"I am thrilled to be a part of keeping Football in Oakland," said Gonzales. "In addition to my Game Day Duties, I am ecstatic my Company - Roberta Gonzales Productions will serve as the Game Day Videographer, shooting, editing, and supplying Game Day highlights to local Television Stations for Nightly Sportscasts. I am also excited to do what I do best, Community Relations work, ensuring Oakland and the East Bay are ready to support the new professional football team in town!"

About Roberta Gonzales:

Roberta Gonzales served as the Weather Anchor for CBS 5 Eyewitness News Weekday, Early Edition and Noon newscasts, and for KCBS All News Radio. After 23 years, Roberta left CBS to begin her own company, Roberta Gonzales Productions. Her main goal is her television program, "Where's Roberta," televised on CBS. Other objectives include producing quality commercials for clients for their websites, digital platforms, or Television and Radio.

A native of California, Gonzales has won numerous awards for her outstanding work, including seven Emmy Awards, the Associated Press Award for "Best Weathercaster" eighteen times, as well as the American Women in Radio and Television (AWRT) Best Weathercaster Award four times. In 2014 Roberta was inducted into the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) Silver Circle Hall of Fame for her twenty-five-plus years working in Television and Radio.

She was voted Volunteer of the Year by the American Cancer Society, The American Lung Association and the National Humane Society, Gonzales has served on boards for the March of Dimes, The American Lung Association, The American Diabetes Association. She is involved with the American Cancer Society, Best Buddies International, American Lung Association, and the Girl Scouts. In her spare time, Roberta avidly enjoys marathon running, having participated in more than 30 marathons, triathlons, "Half Ironman," and Full Ironman in three countries, and was selected as an official Torch Bearer for the 2002 Olympics.

Gonzales was recently awarded the prestigious CEDAW Women's Human Rights Award. Roberta has also authored her first children's book, Marina, The Fish With Teal Lips, available for purchase on her website: RoGoPro.com.
