
Nuts Take on the High Desert Mavericks Starting Today

The Nuts have won four of their last seven games which included a series win against the Lake Elsinore Storm this past week. Some highlights of the homestand include solid pitching performances from Nuts starters Ryan Castellani and Parker French.
On May 3, Castellani pitched a solid eight innings allowing just one hit, one walk and fanning 10 batters as the Nuts blanked the Storm 3-0 recording his first win of the season also earning him California League Pitcher of the Week honors. The Nuts' offense combined for six hits and plated one run in the first inning and two runs in the forth to support Castellani's best start of the season.
Fifth round pick Parker French pitched 6 1/3 inning allowing just four hits and zero earned-runs in his solid performance on May 5 against Lake Elsinore. The Nuts' bats came alive as they plated eight runs on 14 hits in the contest. Collin Ferguson went 3-for-4 in the game with an RBI.
