The Nuts took two games of a 4-game series against the Bakersfield Blaze. With dominate pitching from starters Johendi Jiminian and Harrison Musgrave, the Nuts took the first two games of the series. The Nuts then lost a close game 5-4 on Saturday and were dominated 11-3 in yesterday's final game of the series. Raimel Tapia collected 7 hits in the series upping his season average to .305. Correlle Prime had a game deciding home run in game two which helped push the Nuts to victory.
Tonight the Nuts face off against the San Jose Giants to start game 1 of a 7-game homestand here at John Thurman Field. They will take on the Giants in a 3-game series and then finish the final four games of the first half against the High Desert Mavericks.
