EDMONTON - Ashley Freeman homered and drove in four runs to lead the Edmonton Cracker-Cats to an 11-4 win over the Winnipeg Goldeyes at TELUS Field.
Freeman's two-run homer in the third inning tied the score at 3-3. The Cracker-Cats scored four runs in the fourth inning to take the lead - Freeman's sacrifice fly followed a bases-loaded ground out by Benoit Emond that broke the tie, and a two-run single by Stubby Clapp.
Mike Henry (3-0) pitched eight innings for Edmonton, yielding four runs (two earned) on eight hits while str iking out four to earn the win.

FARGO - Mark Michael and Josh Gray combined on a four-hitter as the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks shutout the Schaumburg Flyers 3-0 at Newman Outdoor Field.
Michael (7-4) yielded four hits and two walks over seven and one-third innings, striking out seven. Gray relieved Michael with two runners aboard and one out in the eighth inning, and promptly got Schaumburg's Sandy Almonte to ground into an inning-ending double play before working a 1-2-3 ninth.
Harry Berrios extended his hitting streak to 10 games with an RBI-single in the fifth inning that put Fargo-Moorhead ahead 1-0. Brent Krause later drove in runs with an RBI-single in the sixth inning and an RBI-double in the eighth.
The RedHawks, who notched their fifth shutout win of the season, have won six consecutive games to move into a first-place tie with Winnipeg in the West Division second-half standings. The Flyers have dropped four straight.

GARY - Josh Carter's RBI-single in the sixth inning broke a 3-3 tie as the Calgary Vipers defeated the Gary SouthShore RailCats 4-3 in a game shortened to eight innings by rain at U. S. Steel Yard.
In the sixth, Brandon Rogers hit a leadoff single, advanced to second on Drew Miller's sacrifice bunt, and scored on Carter's single to left field to give Calgary a 4-3 lead.
Rain delayed the game for two hours and 20 minutes in the top of the eighth inning before the contest resumed. After the teams completed the eighth, a second line of heavy rain showers forced the game to be called.
Jermaine Allensworth drove in all three Gary runs, with a two-run homer in the third inning and a squeeze bunt in the fifth.

KANSAS CITY - The game between the Joliet JackHammers and the Kansas City T-Bones was suspended by rain, with Joliet leading 6-5 in the top of the fifth inning.
The game will be competed prior to the game between Joliet and Kansas City on August 7 in Joliet.
