North Shore jumped on Brockton early and used a decent performance from starter Bryan Morse to move one game ahead of Brockton in the North Division race. The Spirit roughed up Brockton starter Brian Buchanan, handing him his first loss of the season, after scoring three in the first on RBI singles from DH Travis Oglesby, CF Rob Fischer, and LF Joseph Hastings, and then adding one more in the second and two more in a third inning that included a solo blast from Hastings.
