Northeast League All-Stars announced

DURHAM, N.C. – The nine starting position players for the Central League All-Star Game voted on by the league managers and media were announced today. The reserves and pitchers were also named.

The game will be held July 20 at LaGrave Field in Fort Worth, Texas, as the NEL All-Stars will take on the Central Baseball League All-Stars. Each club received one manager vote and one media vote. The pitchers and reserves were selected by Brockton manager Ed Nottle.

Brockton leads all teams with five selections, while North Shore is second on the list with four players, including Rawlings Player of the Month Jeremy Sugarman. Jordy Alexander (New Haven County), Vic Davilla (North Shore), Saul Bustos (Brockton), Marcos Agramonte (North Shore), Brian Jones (Brockton), John Kelly (North Shore) and Donnie Ross (Bangor) are among the holdovers from last year's All-Star Game in Quebec City. Bangor manager Kash Beauchamp will serve as a coach of the squad.
