Atlanta Gladiators News Release
DULUTH, Ga. - The Atlanta Gladiators announced on Tuesday that forward Nolan Burke has been re-assigned to the club from the Milwaukee Admirals by the Nashville Predators.
Burke, 20, signed a three-year, entry level contract with Nashville as an undrafted free agent during November of last year.
Prior to signing with Nashville, the Peterborough, Ontario native played parts of the last five seasons with the Sarnia Sting of the OHL. In 177 total games with Sarnia, the creative center amassed 154 points (90g, 64a). This past year, Burke eclipsed the 50-goal mark for the first time in his career, finishing second in the league in the goals scored column.
"Nolan is coming off a 50 goal season at the major junior level, and caught the attention of the Predators to earn himself an entry-level contract as a free agent," Gladiators head coach Derek Nesbitt commented. "With an unfortunate injury in the summer, we are introducing Nolan to pro hockey here in Atlanta, and want to help him get his feet under him, while also learning the pro game. He's very enthusiastic about getting started, and we are excited to get him going."
The Gladiators continue the 2023-24 season on the road this weekend, as they travel to Allen, Texas to take on the Americans on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
