Knoxville Noise News Release

Knoxville, TN. The ABA Knoxville Noise professional basketball team is looking for people to participate in the inaugural "Knoxville Idol" halftime show during every home game this season. During each game, we will have one or two groups perform in front of our judges, consisting of local television and radio personalities.

For those wishing to tryout, we will hold auditions and the best performance will be chosen to compete each week. After the first 12 games, we will narrow the field down and the last six weeks will determine the winner. The overall winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship.

The first contest will take place on November 11 as the Noise open their home campaign against the Tennessee Mudfrogs. For more information, visit www.knoxvillenoise.com or www.abalive.com.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
