Local and Overseas Talent at Vision Vet Camp

October 31, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Atlanta Vision News Release

SUWANEE, GA - October 31, 2006 - Atlanta Vision, Atlanta's professional basketball team in Gwinnett, will begin their Veterans Training Camp on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at Suwanee Sports Academy. Selected participants will report to training camp at 6:00am to begin their rigorous workout under the direction of Vision Head Coach Bruce Kreutzer.

Several vet camp participants are already peeking the interests of Vision fans. 47-year old Kelvin Davis, recently featured on Fox 5 Good Day Atlanta, is out to prove that age is only a number. If Davis claims a Vision roster spot, he will be the oldest rookie in the history of professional sports.

Adrien Borders, a 2001 Berkmar High School Gwinnett County graduate, looks to continue his basketball success as a new addition to the Vision roster.

Jun Iwasa, a native of Tokyo, Japan, brings strength and college experience from abroad as he matches up against other vet camp participants for a rookie spot.

Shawn Cox, a former Nocross High School standout and Vision veteran, will battle for the point guard position as he returns for a second season.

Atlanta Vision Veterans Training Camp will run from November 1-10th and end with the new 2006-07 Vision roster. "We are ready to do what we do best," explained owner Quentin Townsend. "Structure and develop a winning product on and off the court." Vision players will exhibit their talents and meet the public with a fun-filled Atlanta Vision Open House and Media Day on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at Suwanee Sports Academy.
