
No Luck for Suns in 7-2 Loss at Greensboro

Greensboro, NC - The Hagerstown Suns (56-35) settled for a series split with the Greensboro Grasshoppers (54-38) after losing the finale, 7-2, at NewBridge Bank Park on Friday the Thirteenth.
Grasshoppers' starter Austin Brice (7-3) earned the win pitching five scoreless innings, allowing two hits and two walks while striking out five. Greensboro used four hits, four walks and two errors to score six runs (four earned) in the fourth inning. Catcher Tony Caldwell went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI in the game.
Suns starting pitcher Bobby Hansen, Jr. lasted three-plus innings, allowing six runs (four earned) on six hits and three walks. Steven Souza, Jr. had two hits and an RBI to extend his season-best hitting streak to nine games.
The Suns will now travel to Lexington and begin a four-game series with the Legends on Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. when RHP Alex Meyer (6-4, 3.32) makes the start. Lexington will have RHP Juri Perez on the will.
