No Lead Safe In Boise As Canadians Take Second Stright

(Memorial Stadium - Boise, ID) - Canadians 1B Balbino Fuenmayor hit a bases clearing double in the top of the 8th inning that was part of a four-run effort to help Vancouver come from behind for the second straight night, topping the Boise Hawks 7-4 out at Memorial Stadium on Friday night.

The Canadians grabbed a pair of runs early with one in the top of the 2nd inning and another in the top of the 3rd inning. Vancouver RF Carlos Ramirez would hit a double scoring DH Jason Leblebijian to give the C's a 2-0 lead.

Boise would score the next four runs of the game with 2B Gioskar Amaya hitting his 3rd home run of the summer off of Canadians starter LHP Bobby Brosnahan helping the Hawks to a 4-2 lead.

From there, it was all Vancouver as the Canadians scored a quartet of runs in the top of the 8th inning that featured a three-run double off the bat of 1B Balbino Fuenmayor that scored 3B Derrick Chung (single), SS Jorge Flores (single) and DH Jason Leblebijian (error) to help catapult the C's past Boise. C Dan Klein would cap off the comeback with his 4th home run of the summer off of RHP Bryce Shafer that gave Vancouver a 7-4 victory.
