
Ninth Inning Costs Coyotes

EDINBURG, Texas- The Edinburg Coyotes (23-33) couldn't close the deal Saturday night as the Laredo Broncos (29-29) came from behind late in the game to win 4-2 at Edinburg Baseball Stadium.
With the Coyotes winning by one heading into the top of the ninth, Coyotes' closer Julio Castro (1-3) gave up three runs off two hits to give the Broncos the big win. Castro picked up his third loss for season. Broncos extend their lead in the playoff race to five games.
Miguel Martinez pitched a great game for the Coyotes as he went seven innings allowing no runs and giving up only three hits. He did not factor in the decision. David Wasylak (3-0) picked up the win as he went 2 2/3 innings, allowing no runs on two hits.
After three scoreless innings, Coyotes jumped out to an early after Eric Gonzalez hit an RBI sacrifice fly to left field bringing in Daryl Jones from third.
With the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh Coyotes were able to put up another run after Schon walked in a Amado German to give the Coy0tes a 2-0 lead.
Broncos cut the lead in half in the top of the eighth after Edgard Clemente hit an RBI single to left bringing in Luany Sanchez from third.
