
Nine Different Pats Get on Scoresheet in 5-3 Loss at Tri-City

Kennewick, Wash. - The Regina Pats dropped the second game of their U.S. road trip, falling 5-3 to the Tri-City Americans on Saturday at the Toyota Center.
The Pats got contributions from throughout the lineup on Saturday, with nine different players getting on the scoresheet. The Pats got goals from Tye Spencer, Brayden Barnett and Sam Oremba with a goal in each period. Spencer scored for a third straight game, Barnett scored in his 100th career game, and Oremba reached 20 goals.
Kelton Pyne made 28 saves in the loss. The power play was able to score for a eighth straight game, going 1-4. The Penalty kill was a perfect 3-3.
Carter MacAdams (1G-1A), Brandon Whynott (1G-1A) and Jake Sloan (1G-1A) each had multi-point games for the Americans in their win. Andrew Fan and Parker Bell rounded out the scoring while Lukas Matecha made 30 saves to snap their three-game skid.

THE GOALS
First Period
1-0 Americans at 10:48 - Carter MacAdams (12), assisted by Alex Serraglio & Parker Bell // The Tri-City entered into the zone with numbers and a centering pass to the left side connected with MacAdams who sent it past Pyne to give the Americans a 1-0 lead.
2-0 Americans at 18:15 - Brandon Whynott (13), assisted by Lucas Dragicevic & Carter MacAdams // Dragicevic's point shot is kicked out by Pyne right to Whynott who had gone undetected and he slipped the rebound past the Pats netminder to give the Americans a 2-0 lead.
2-2 Pats at 19:15 - Tye Spencer (22), assisted by Tye Gibson & Tanner Howe (PP) // Gibson got the puck at the point and sent a feed to the left circle to Spencer who hammered home a one-timer short-side to get the Pats on the board and pull the group to within one at 2-1.
Second Period
3-1 Americans at 4:08 - Jake Sloan (25), assisted by Kainoah Brankovic & Ethan Peters // Sloan received a stretch pass and split the Pats defenders for a breakaway. He went in and beat Pyne to extend the Americans' lead to 3-1.
3-2 Pats at 17:55 - Brayden Barnett (5), assisted by Dru Mushumanksi & Corbin Vaughan // The Pats crashed the Americans net and Mushumanski got a pass to Barnett who fired it past an outstretched Matecha to pull the Pats to within one at 3-2.
Third Period
4-2 Americans at 15:10 - Andrew Fan (7), unassisted // Pyne made a massive glove save but the puck popped up in the air to the point and Fan fired it past the Pats netminder to make it 4-2.
4-3 Pats at 17:43 - Sam Oremba (20), assisted by Anthony Wilson & Keagan Slaney // The Pats were pressuring the Americans in their zone and Oremba got the puck at the right circle and fired it past Matecha to pull the Pats to within one at 4-3.
5-3 Americans at 18:55 - Parker Bell (27), assisted by Jake Sloan & Ethan Peters (EN) // The Americans won a defensive zone face-off and raced down the ice with Bell getting the puck and scoring into an empty net.
