New Mexico Ice Wolves News Release
The New Mexico Ice Wolves® today announced forward Nikolai Dulak was named to the North American Hockey League's South Division All-Rookie Team and All-NAHL Rookie Second Team.
"It's great to see Nikolai get these honors," said Phil Fox, NM Ice Wolves head coach. "Any time a kid can make the jump into junior hockey and have an impact in their first year is a stellar accomplishment and the entire organization is thrilled for him."
Born in Mahtomedi, Minnesota, Dulak played in 53 of the NM Ice Wolves regular season games during his 2020-2021 rookie season Dulak scored 34 points (12 goals, 22 assists). Dulak was a key player in the NM Ice Wolves offense and with two years left of junior hockey eligibility fans can look forward to seeing much more of his tenacious and exciting play.
Dulak joined the NAHL when he signed a tender with the NM Ice Wolves after playing for both Mahtomedi High School (USHS-MN) where he was team captain and Team MSP Magazine (UMHSEHL) during the 2019-2020 season. NAHL players that have not played in a junior league or team prior to the 2020-21 season (any junior league or team in any location, foreign or domestic), or entered the season having played less than 10 NAHL regular season games, are considered rookies and eligible for All-Rookie recognition and honors by the NAHL.
