November 18, 2004 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Mississippi RiverKings News Release
CORPUS CHRISTI---Trailing 4-2 entering the third period, the Corpus Christi Rayz scored three goals in the first 1:54 of the final period and beat the Memphis RiverKings 6-4 Wednesday afternoon in Corpus Christi. The three goals occurred in a span of 47 seconds and helped send the RiverKings to a season high fourth loss in a row.
Memphis built a 4-2 lead after two with first period goals by Chris Migliore and Ken Goetz followed by second period goals from Scott English and Allan Carr. But that lead evaporated with the barrage of Rayz goals that started the third. David Lemanowicz took the loss in the nets after coming in to relieve starter Daniel Boisclair who gave up two narrow angle goals in the first period.
The loss knocks the RiverKings to three games below .500 at 5-8 and makes their current record on this road trip 2-4. Upcoming games are Friday night at Rio Grande Valley and Saturday night at Laredo. The Friday game will be broadcast on Sports 56 while Saturday's game will be found on 96.1fm.
