November 18, 2004 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs News Release

BOSSIER CITY, LA -- Starting on Monday November 22nd, the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs of the Central Hockey League will begin a special t-shirt drive to benefit the United States Marines stationed overseas. Special Mudbugs Marine t-shirts will be sold at the team merchandise store, "The Swamp Shack", and all proceeds of the sales will be used to purchase phone calling cards for the Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 23rd Marines stationed in Iraq.

The specialty shirts, designed by Jerry Harris Originals in Bossier City, feature the traditional Mudbug wearing a camouflage outfit with a green background and the slogan "No Better Friend, No Worse Enemy" on the back. The cost of the t-shirts will be $15.

"This is a great opportunity for everyone to show their support for our troops especially here during the holidays," said Mudbugs General Manager Jason Rent. "We're proud to use the proceeds for the shirts to buy calling cards for the Marines and any little way that we can contribute will hopefully go a long way. It's been an honor working with them and they continue to make the Mudbugs and everyone here at home very proud."

The limited edition shirts can be purchased, with cash only, starting on Monday November 22nd in the Mudbugs offices located at the CenturyTel Center. They will also be available at home games on November 26th versus Fort Worth and November 27th versus Memphis.

This weekend the Mudbugs take on the Tulsa Oilers at 7:05 p.m. on Friday and the Oklahoma City Blazers with Dallas Stars forward Brenden Morrow at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday. For more information, please call 318-752-2847.
