October 24, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Maryland NightHawks News Release
Rockville, MD. The ABA Maryland Nighthawks will hit the hardwood on Wednesday evening when they take on the Thomas S. Wootton HIgh School students and staff. Profits of the evening's game will benefit the Wootton High School Junior Class.
Amongst the Nighthawks players that are scheduled to attend are streetball legend Randy "White Chocolate" Gill, former Washington Wizard Lawrence Moton, Anton "Scrappy" Jenifer, 2006-2007 ABA Slam Dunk Champion Ray "Hops" Cunningham and fan favorite, Frank McQueen.
"This is just another way of giving back and helping the community," stated Adam Dantus, the teams Sales and Marketing Director. "We encourage all students and staff along with the public to come out and experience this night full of excitement."
The Nighthawks will also be raffling away tickets to the home opener and the opportunity to play Randy "White Chocolate" Gill one-on-one during this halftime exhibition game.
