Anderson Champions News Release

Anderson, IN. After several weeks of evaluation, the team owners of the ABA Anderson Champions say they are ready to begin signing players. One of the leaders of the pack is former Indiana Mr. Basketball, Maurice "Kojak" Fuller. Fuller has become a leader on and off the court. He had one of his most memorable moments in the Anderson Wigwam where he scored 69 points in the two-game 1992 Indiana Hall of Fame Classic, including 10 of 12 free throws in the final three minutes of the first game.

"The community wants Kojak to succeed. This is also an opportunity to play professional basketball," said team co-owner Jesse J. Wilkerson. "He has made some substantial life changes. He has our full support. This is about more than basketball. It's about another chance. I have known Kojak almost all of my life. He is a good person and deserves a chance."
