Anderson, IN. The ABA Anderson Champions will open their season ticket campaign in August for the upcoming 2007-2008 season. "We play in one of the best venues in the US - the historic Wigwam in Anderson - 8996 seats. We are proud to be in Anderson," said team owner Jesse Wilkerson. "We want to provide a great alternative to high priced entertainment with exciting ABA basketball and we want to make it fan-friendly and affordable and fun."
"Therefore, because we have such a large venue, we have priced our season tickets at $99 for 18 home games (children 13-17 for only $39)," Wilkerson added. "We'd like to sellout the Wigwam and are asking for the support of every business in Madison County. We've already received calls from people in Fishers and Carmel looking for alternative sports outings for their families."
"To capitalize on getting everyone involved, we have developed a unique fund-raising program for local area businesses and organizations. For each season ticket your business sells, we'll return $15. You become an outlet for our season ticket sales. This is a great way for not-for-profit organizations to earn money - and for businesses to generate extra revenue - much like convenience stores that sell lottery tickets.
