JUPITER, Fla. (June 6, 2015) - The Palm Beach Cardinals scored the last seven runs of the game to defeat the St. Lucie Mets 7-1 on Saturday at Roger Dean Stadium.

The only run of the game for the Mets came in the first. In his third MLB rehab start Dilson Herrera hit a ground rule double to left. Fellow MLB rehabber Travis d'Arnaud then singled Herrera home for a 1-0 lead.

Herrera went 1-4 with the double and run while playing the entire game at second base. d'Arnaud went 3 for 4 with three singles, one RBI and a strikeout. He caught the whole game.

Palm Beach starter Trey Nielsen made his third start against the Mets and dominated. He tossed seven innings and allowed just the one run in the first. He walked one and struck out seven.

Nielsen has now pitched 17 innings against the Mets and has given up just one run. He improved to 5-4 on the season.

Mets starter Logan Taylor logged six innings and gave up three runs. Only one run was earned. In the second inning Taylor fielded a ground ball and had a chance to throw to first for the final out but he threw the ball over Dominic Smith's head and two runs scored to put the Cardinals up 2-1.

The Cardinals added two runs in the seventh and C.J. McElroy hit a two-run homer off of Josh Smoker in the eighth to make it 7-1.
