Canton Charge forward Nick Minnerath was named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played Monday, February 22nd through Sunday, February 28th, the league office announced today.
Minnerath (6-9, 215, Detroit-Mercy) led Canton (24-13) to a 3-0 week, with all three wins coming at home, to help extend Canton's franchise record winning streak to 12 games. In all three performances coming off the bench, Minnerath averaged 25.5 points on .605 shooting with 8.0 rebounds in 30.0 minutes per game.
Minnerath scored 21 points on 7-of-14 shooting and grabbed nine boards in a victory over Grand Rapids (2/24). He posted his eighth double-double of the season in the win over Fort Wayne (2/26) by scoring 26 points on 9-of-16 shooting and 10 rebounds in 28 minutes. He tallied his sixth 25+ point game of the season by scoring 29 on 10-of-13 shooting in Canton's win over Delaware (2/28).
Minnerath has played in 36 games for Canton this season (10 starts) and is averaging 18.1 points on .508 shooting with 6.7 rebounds and 0.6 steals in 29.6 minutes per game. He currently ranks second in the D-League in free throw percentage, hitting 135-of-151 attempts this season (.894).
