
Canton's Nick Minnerath Named NBA Development League Performer of the Week

NEW YORK - Nick Minnerath of the Canton Charge was today named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played Monday, Feb. 22 through Sunday, Feb. 28. The honor is the first of Minnerath's career.
Minnerath (6-9, 215, Detroit Mercy) led Canton to a 3-0 week, averaging 25.3 points (sixth in the league) on 60.5 percent shooting (26-for-43) to go with 8.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists. He scored at least 20 points in three consecutive games for the second time this season, helping push Canton's winning streak to 12.
On Feb. 26, he recorded a double-double with 26 points and 10 rebounds in a 107-96 victory over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. On Feb. 28, he tallied 29 points on 10-of-13 shooting to go with five rebounds and two assists.
Minnerath is averaging 18.1 points on 50.8 percent shooting along with 6.7 rebounds
Other top performers considered include Bakersfield's Joel Wright, Iowa's Andrew Harrison, Los Angeles' Josh Magette, Maine's Coty Clarke, Raptors' Sim Bhullar, Reno's David Stockton, Rio Grande Valley's Jaron Johnson, Sioux Falls' Briante Weber, Texas' Tu Holloway and Westchester's Travis Trice II.
