
NHL Network Game Of The Week Is Pensacola At Florida

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL Game of the Week airing on Friday at
7 p.m. ET on NHL Network in Canada will be the Pensacola at Florida
game from Feb. 10.
NHL Network will rebroadcast the game on Saturday at 3 a.m. ET.
NHL Network has televised the ECHL Game of the Week for the past
three seasons and along with NHL Center Ice has broadcast the ECHL
All-Star Game live for the past five years. NHL Network has
broadcast the Kelly Cup Playoff each of the past three years and will again
feature extensive coverage in April and May.
NHL Network has around-the-clock hockey programming, offering
viewers the most complete and in-depth hockey coverage including news,
information and extended highlights from the National Hockey League. The
network's signature show, NHL On The Fly, features live look-ins to
every NHL game, every night, all across the League. NHL On The Fly
also includes interviews, highlights, features, pre- and post-game reports,
team press conferences and expert analysis from a variety of hockey
veterans. Additional NHL Network programming includes international
hockey, amateur hockey, player profiles, interview shows and youth-oriented
programs.

ECHL
The league officially changed its name to ECHL on May 19, 2003.
The Premier 'AA' Hockey League, the ECHL has affiliations with 25 of the 30
teams in the National Hockey League in 2006-07. There have been 322 former
ECHL players who have gone on to play in the NHL after playing in the ECHL,
including a record 47 in 2005-06. There have been 177 players who have
played in the NHL after the ECHL in the past five seasons.
The ECHL was represented for the sixth consecutive year on the National
Hockey League championship team, including Carolina Hurricanes head coach
Peter Laviolette, who is the first ECHL coach to win the Stanley Cup.
The ECHL has affiliations with 24 of the 27 teams in the American Hockey
League in 2006-07 and for the past 17 years there has been an ECHL player
on the Calder Cup champion. The ECHL has had more players called up to the
AHL than all other professional leagues combined each of the past four
seasons with 1,646 call ups involving almost 1,000 players.
