Regina, SK - Evraz Place is pleased to once again welcome the National Hockey League back to Regina for a pre-season game. Minister Cheveldayoff made the exciting announcement of the NHL game between the Edmonton Oilers and the New York Islanders on Thursday, September 27, 2012. Game time will be 7:00 p.m.
It has been 3 years since an NHL game was played in Regina when Tampay Bay took on the Ottawa Senators on September 21, 2009. This year's game will feature two of the NHL's young exciting teams as the New York Islanders take on the Edmonton Oilers.
"We're extremely excited to host one of our upcoming preseason games in Regina," Islanders General Manager, Garth Snow said. "We know how passionate hockey fans are in Saskatchewan and look forward to playing in front of a packed crowd when we take on the Oilers."
Edmonton Oilers General Manager Steve Tambellini says, "Neutral site games are a great way to showcase the National Hockey League. Having the chance to play in Regina is a tremendous opportunity for the Oilers and a great way for the organization to reach out to thousands of Oilers fans living in Regina and the province of Saskatchewan."
Evraz Place will be working closely with the Regina Pats in both the promotion and execution of this event, and as such Regina Pats season ticket holders will get an exclusive pre-sale opportunity and as an added value to NHL ticket buyers, each top price ticket will be a voucher for an upcoming Regina Pat game.
TICKET INFORMATION: Tickets are priced at $79, $99 & $134 + applicable service charges.
Each ticket purchased at the top price will include a voucher that can be redeemed for either of the 2012-13 Regina Pats first 2 season opener games.
Regina Pats Season Ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase in advance - in person only at the Brandt Centre Box Office starting on December 8 at 10 am and ending December 9, 2011 at 6 pm.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public starting December 16, 2011 at 10 am - at the Brandt Centre Box Office, any Ticketmaster outlet, on-line at ticketmaster.ca, by calling 543-7800 or 1-800-970-7328.
