News & Notes: Rapids Looking to Remain Unbeaten against Sporting KC in Home Openers

Heading into their home opener on Saturday, the Rapids are tied for the second-best win percentage at home in MLS since 2021 (73.5%). The only other team with a better percentage at home are last year's MLS Cup runners-up, the Philadelphia Union; the team tied with the Rapids are the reigning MLS Cup winners, LAFC.

Win Percentage at Home Since 2021:

Philadelphia Union - 86.8%

Colorado Rapids - 73.5%

Los Angeles Football Club - 73.5%

New York City FC - 70.6%

FC Dallas - 69.4%

Home Opener History

The Rapids are 16-4-7 (W-L-D) in home openers since their inaugural season in 1996 and Saturday's game will be just the third time in club history that they'll face Sporting Kansas City in a home opener. Colorado emerged with a win and a draw in those two previous meetings.

Overall, the Rapids are 19-5-12 all-time against SKC at DICK's Sporting Goods Park.
