
Newport Gulls Hat Giveaway Rescheduled for Friday, July 5th

Newport, RI - The Newport Gulls will be giving away free team logo hats, sponsored by the Brick Alley Pub, to the first 250 fans in attendance to watch the Gulls take on the Plymouth Pilgrims at Cardines Field on Strike Out ALS Night Friday, July 5th. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
The Gulls will be raising money through the 50/50 raffle and donations collected throughout the game to benefit David Leys, a lifelong Middletown resident, and his family as a part of Strike Out ALS Night that evening. 50/50 raffle proceeds and all donations will be presented to the Leys family in a special ceremony on the field at the conclusion of the game.
The Newport Gulls hat giveaway was originally scheduled for Friday, June 28th, but the game was rained out. Tickets purchased in advance for Friday, June 28th's home contest against the Vermont Mountaineers can be used for any future regular season game at Cardines Field this season.
Tickets can be purchased at the Cardines Field ticket booth on the day of the game. General Admission for adults 18 and over is $4. Military and senior citizen tickets as well as children ages 13-18 are $2. Children 12 and under are $1.
