
Newcomb and Vorva Sign on for 2021-22 Season

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Head Coach Glenn Detulleo announced the return of Mathieu Newcomb and the signing of goalie Hunter Vorva ahead of the 2021-22 season.
Newcomb, 26, saw him skate in 38 games and net 11 points in his rookie campaign with the Havoc. Before his rookie season, he played four years at the University of Ottawa where he scored 53 points in 111 games. With the Gee-Gees, Newcomb wore the A as an alternate captain for all four years.
Vorva, 25, started his professional career in France with Marseille in the second division of French professional hockey. While overseas, Vorva started 10 games while posting a .905 save percentage and saw two post-season starts where he had a stunning .950 save percentage. Prior to his career in France, Vorva played 87 games with three different universities. Throughout those 87 games, Vorva saw success and posted a .926 save percentage throughout his collegiate career.
