New York Titans Lose Gewas Schindler to Boston in NLL Expansion Draft

New York, NY - New York Titans forward Gewas Schindler was selected today in the 2008 National Lacrosse League Expansion Draft by Boston, the new expansion team that begins play this season at the world famous TD Banknorth Garden. Boston selected a total of 13 players in the Expansion Draft - one player per team in the league.

Schindler has played seven seasons in the National Lacrosse League, scoring a total of 112 goals and 148 assists. He scored 12 goals and dished 25 assists for New York last season. In his seven seasons in the NLL, Schindler has played on four teams, earning a reputation as a reliable leader on offense.

"Gewas had a great season for us last year and we wish him all the best in Boston," said Titans head coach Adam Mueller.

Boston Head Coach Tom Ryan selected thirteen unprotected players, one from each current NLL franchise. For a full list of Boston's picks log on to www.nll.com.

The New York Titans are an indoor professional lacrosse team that just wrapped up their inaugural season in the National Lacrosse League.
