Recap of NLL Expansion Draft for Boston franchise
July 31, 2007 - National Lacrosse League (NLL) News Release
The 2007 National Lacrosse League Expansion Draft took place earlier today, as the league's new Boston franchise selected one unprotected player from each of the league's existing thirteen teams. The to-be-named Boston team used the first overall selection on defenseman Patrick Merrill of the Toronto Rock. The Expansion Draft marks the club's first major step in building the team's inaugural season roster.
The Boston club also currently holds the top overall selection in the 2007 NLL Entry Draft which will take place on September 1st at Pepsi Center in Denver.

4. Ryan Avery (G) - Calgary
5. Jed Prossner (F) - Portland

8. Darren Halls (D) - San Jose
9. Scott Stewart (F) - Minnesota
10. Jon Harasym (F) - Chicago
11. Mike Grimes (D) - Arizona
12. Brian Langtry (F) - Colorado
13. Brian Croswell (F) - Rochester
