New York Red Bulls News Release
HARRISON, NJ (October 21, 2013) - The New York Red Bulls will host a home leg in their MLS Cup Playoffs Eastern Conference Semifinals Series on the evening of either Wednesday, Nov 6 or Thursday, Nov. 7 at Red Bull Arena. Tickets for that match are already on sale by calling 1.877.RBSOCCER or logging onto www.newyorkredbulls.com.
The Red Bulls (16-9-8, 56 pts.) have a chance to capture the club's first Supporters' Shield, given to the team with the most regular season points, with a win this Sunday against the Chicago Fire at Red Bull Arena at 5:00 PM in their regular season finale.
New York currently leads the Eastern Conference and MLS Supporters' Shield standings by one point heading into the final week of regular season play following a 3-0 win over the Houston Dynamo Sunday at BBVA Compass Stadium. The victory ensured that the Red Bulls would either be the first or second seed in the East. In the home-and-home, aggregate goal format, the Red Bulls will play on Saturday, Nov. 2 or Sunday, Nov. 3 in the opening road fixture. With several teams still jockeying for a position, New York's opponent has not been determined.
Tickets are still available for the Fire match by calling 1.877.RBSOCCER or logging onto www.newyorkredbulls.com.
