Red Bull New York News Release
Harrison, NJ - Today, The New York Red Bulls announced a new community partnership with Dawn®, America's #1 dish liquid*, to tackle local food insecurity. For every free kick taken by the Red Bulls in the 2022 season, Dawn's "Free Kicks for Free Meals" program will donate 100 free meals to the community.
The New York Red Bulls and Dawn are excited to kick off this new program, where all proceeds will directly go to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ), which is the leading anti-hunger and anti-poverty organization in the state.
"Food insecurity is near to my heart, as I grew up in poverty and we lived on Food Stamps," said Dawn Brand Communications Manager Amy Sumontha. "During the pandemic, more people have experienced food insecurity, especially children - not to mention the huge racial disparity amongst those who are impacted. Our Dawn team is thrilled that we can begin making an impact and help the CFNBJ feed those in need."
"We are extremely proud to team up with Dawn to provide nutritious meals for our neighbors in need through our friends at the Community FoodBank of New Jersey," said Joe Stetson, Chief Marketing and Revenue Officer, New York Red Bulls. "Our ongoing commitment to the community all year around remains a priority for our club."
"We're grateful to Dawn and the New York Red Bulls for partnering to provide nutritious meals for our struggling neighbors," said Carlos Rodriguez, President & CEO of the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. "About 800,000 people in our state are food insecure, including 200,00 children, and we rely on campaigns like this one to help us meet the need."
