New York Red Bulls II Continue Home Dominance, Defeat Richmond 5-1

New York Red Bulls II (7-5-7, 28 points) dominated the match, 5-1, over the Richmond Kickers (5-10-2, 17 points) at MSU Soccer Park Friday night.

Red Bulls II are now 7-2-1 at home with a +19 goal differential.

NYRB II opened up the scoring with a goal from Jared Stroud in the second minute; the goal was Stroud's first of the season.

Stroud scored his second goal of the game and of the season, off of an assist from Amando Moreno in the fourteenth minute, recording his first career brace.

Stroud became the 15th player to score at least one goal for NYRB II this season.

Red Bulls II continued the scoring in the 34th minute with a goal from Moreno, his eighth of the season. He continues to lead the team in goals this season.

Brian White opened the second half scoring with a goal in the 60th minute, his seventh of the season.

Stroud scored his third goal of the game and season in the 68th minute, recording his first career hat trick.

Evan Louro was issued a red card in the 77th minute; forward Brian White took his place in goal for the rest of the game.

White recorded a goal, assist, and save in tonight's match.

This was the fourth game in which NYRB II scored five goals or more.

Red Bulls II remain the top goal scoring team in the USL with 41 goals.

NYRB II will be back at MSU on Wednesday, July 18 for a matchup against Bethlehem Steel FC. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET.
