
New York City FC Loans Midfielder Nicolás Acevedo to Esporte Clube Bahia

New York City FC today announced that it has come to a new loan agreement with Brazilian side Esporte Clube Bahia for Midfielder Nicolás Acevedo. The loan agreement runs through December 31, 2024, with a purchase option at the end of the 2024 season, along with an obligation to buy if certain performance based goals are met.
The midfielder featured in 54 matches for the Squad of Steel tallying two assists in last season's campaign. Acevedo suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in his right knee, requiring a successful surgical procedure. Acevedo will continue his rehab in Brazil.
While in New York, the Uruguayan midfielder featured in 67 games winning MLS Cup and Campeones Cup with the 'Boys in Blue.'
