Also on Monday, the United Hockey League announced that Rockford IceHogs goaltender Frederic Cloutier was named the Southern Sports Supply Goaltender of the Week for Week 14 of the United Hockey League season. Cloutier previously won the GOW Award this season in Week 6 and Week 12.

In two full games played, Cloutier compiled a 2-0-0 record with a 2.00 goals against average and a .940 save percentage. He also played 18 minutes in relief of Hogs goalie Jake Moreland who was injured during the Friday game against Port Huron. Cloutier stopped all seven shots he faced against the Flags.

On Wednesday, against the Komets, Cloutier turned away 24 shots to help Rockford keep pace with Western Division Leaders. In Saturday's heated contest versus the Mallards, Cloutier stopped 39 of 41 shots to help Rockford go into the All-Star Break on a winning note.

This season is Cloutier's sixth in the pro ranks. The former ECHL Goalie of the Year and Rookie of the Year is currently playing in his first season with Rockford and the UHL. Overall thus far, Cloutier has a record of 15-11-1 with 2.42 GAA and a .919 SPCT. He will be one of six players representing the IceHogs this week at the 2006-07 UHL All-Star Game in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Next Home Game: Sunday, Jan. 21 vs. Bloomington PrairieThunder. Game time is set for 6:05 p.m. The Hogs renew acquaintances with Bloomington. Sunday is another Dollar Days with WXRX, 104.9-FM.
