New Orleans VooDoo News Release
NEW ORLEANS (February 7, 2014) -- The New Orleans VooDoo home arena, The New Orleans Arena, has changed its name to the Smoothie King Center.
According to a New Orleans Pelicans press release: "The naming rights agreement between the Pelicans, the State of Louisiana and Smoothie King is for 10 years."
In January, The VooDoo and SMG reached an agreement to call the New Orleans Arena home through the 2016 Arena Football season. This agreement is still in effect with the new naming rights deal.
The New Orleans VooDoo play nine home games in the Smoothie King Center in the 2014 season.
The VooDoo home opener is set for March 29 at 7pm against the Cleveland Gladiators.
