
Pittsburgh Power Adds New Co-Owmer, Trib Total Media

PITTSBURGH, PA (February 7, 2014) - On Monday, February 3, 2014 the Pittsburgh Power Arena Football League team sold a large stake of the franchise to Trib Total Media in a multi-million dollar transaction.
"The Power could not have asked for a better co-owner than Trib Total Media," remarked Pittsburgh Power CEO and founder Matt Shaner. "Since our inception in 2010, our organization has not had stronger supporters than Richard Mellon Scaife, Ralph Martin, Jennifer Bertetto, and the entirety of Trib Total Media. Their belief in the Power is unwavering."
The new ownership group consists of Matt Shaner, Trib Total Media, and Lynn Swann. The ownership group will operate under a Board of Directors that will be chaired by Shaner. Trib Total Media President and CEO, Ralph Martin, and Lynn Swann will also serve on the Board providing leadership and guidance to help the Power achieve its ultimate goal of bringing an Arena Football Championship home to the City of Champions.
"The credibility and integrity that Trib Total Media will bring to the Power is immeasurable, they are a force in our community," stated Co-Owner and NFL Hall of Famer Lynn Swann. "Their organization is one of the most distinguished companies in Pittsburgh and the company is not just a media powerhouse, but they also give back to the community."
The Pittsburgh Power, now entering their 4th AFL season, continue cementing their commitment to Pittsburgh and the Arena Football League. In September, the Power signed a three-year extension to their lease at CONSOL Energy Center with Partners the Pittsburgh Penguins. In 2016, the lease will be automatically renewed for an additional three years if mutually agreed upon attendance marks are made.
The Pittsburgh Power kickoff their 2014 regular season on Saturday, March 15, at CONSOL Energy Center when they host East division rival Cleveland Gladiators. Game time is scheduled for 5:00 pm ET.
