APPLETON, WI - Andrew Lambo homered and drove in four runs, and the Great Lakes Loons began the month of August on a winning note, besting the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, 8-6, Friday night. The game was played before a crowd of 2,774 at Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium.

The Loons jumped out to a 4-0 lead with a four-run third. Lambo drove in the first run on a ground ball to second. Brandon Taylor followed later with a two-run single and Alex Garabedian added an RBI single.

A Justin Miller wild pitch in the bottom of the third made it 4-1. But in the top of the fourth, Great Lakes responded with four runs, keyed by a three-run home run by Lambo, his 15th blast of the year. Lambo now has 70 RBIs on the season.

Miller (4-8) surrendered three runs in the fourth, aided by a two-run triple by Ron Garth, and one run in the fifth on a single by Edilio Colina, and left with the Loons leading 8-5. Miller struck out seven batters in five innings to record his first win since June 14 in Lansing.

Garrett White pitched three innings of relief, allowing one run on a long solo home run to Joe Dunigan. Bobby Blevins hurled a scoreless ninth inning for his fourth save of the season.
