
Midwest League Distributes Fines, Suspensions

Beloit, WI (8/1/08) --- George H. Spelius, President of The Midwest League of Professional Baseball Clubs, Inc., issued fines and suspensions as a result of the July 24, 2008 bench clearing in Dayton, Ohio between the Peoria Chiefs and the Dayton Dragons.
- Dayton -
o Eight (8) players fined and suspended for three (3) played Midwest League games.
o Manager fined and suspended for three (3) played Midwest League games.
o The balance of the roster fined; no suspensions.
- Peoria -
o Six (6) players fined and suspended for three (3) played Midwest League games.
o One (1) player fined and suspended for sixty (60) days.
o Interim Manager fined and suspended for twenty (20) days.
o The balance of the roster fined; no suspensions.
