New Jersey Jackals News Release
On a beautiful night for a game at Yogi Berra Stadium the Jackals welcomed the Rockland boulders to town. The Jackals were able to snap their 5 game losing streak by picking up a 5-3 victory tonight. Justin Brantley picked up the win of the mound and now has a 2 and 1 record on the year. The pitching tonight was strong for the Jackals only allowing 3 runs. Brantley had 6 strikeouts, Dylan Brammer had 4, Javier Reynoso had one, and Lendy Castillo stuck out 2 batters with authority to lock in the victory.
Richard Stock continued to show that he will never let up and knocked in another RBI in the first inning, making it his 22nd of the season. He currently leads the league. In the bottom of the 7th, Conrad Gregor continued his great start to the season with a solo home run in the 7th making the score 5-3, flipping his bat with absolute authority, earning him the honor of PSEG power player of the game. The momentum completely swung in the Jackals favor and they picked up a victory in the first game of a 3 game set against Rockland. Their series continues tomorrow night back in Little Falls for game 2.
