Ottawa 7, Trois-Rivieres 3 - Box Score

Ottawa scored four big runs in the top of the ninth inning to break a 3-3 tie and went on to defeat Trois-Rivieres by the score of 7-3.

The Champions would jump out on top 1-0 in the second inning on a 3B Jordan Caillouet RBI single. The score remained the same until the fourth when both teams plated a pair of runs in each turn at the plate to give an Ottawa 3-2 advantage. The Aigles tied it up in the fifth as RF David Glaude came around to score on a 2B Tucker Nathans double. The 3-3 tie would stay intact until the ninth when Ottawa rallied for the four runs to give them the lead for good.

Champions CF Steve Brown went 2-for-4 with two runs scored while DH Leonardo Reginatto had a pair of hits and two RBIs.

Ottawa pitcher Evan Rutckyj tossed an 1/3 of an inning of relief to collect the win. The southpaw struck out the only batter he faced. Rutckyj now sports a 2-1 record.

New Jersey 5, Rockland 3 - Box Score

New Jersey jumped out to an early 2-0 after an inning of play and would never look back as they defeated Rockland by the score of 5-3.

The Jackals pounded out 12 hits in the contest with four batters having multi-hit games. Jackals CF Jay Gonzalez went 3-for-5 with two runs scored while 1B Conrad Gregor had a home run in two at-bats along with two RBIs. Designated hitter Richard Stock, RF Demetrius Moorer and SS Santiago Chirino each chipped in a pair of hits to aid the New Jersey offense.

Jackals starting pitcher Justin Brantley allowed two earned runs over six innings of work to pick-up the victory. Brantley gave up five hits to go with six strikeouts in the 87-pitch effort. The righty is now 2-1 on the year.

Catcher Adam Ehrlich had a triple with a run scored and an RBI in the loss for the Boulders.

Quebec 8, Sussex County 4 - Box Score

With Quebec holding a 3-2 lead over Sussex County after four innings of play, the Capitales offense erupted for five runs over the next three and coasting to an 8-4 victory over the Miners.

The top of the order led the offensive attack for Quebec. The 1-2-3 hitters of CF David Salgueiro, SS Michael Baca and C Chris Shaw went a combined 5-for-11 the plate with six runs scored and four RBIs. First baseman Rian Kiniry and RF Kody Ruedisili also contributed by each picking up a hit and a run scored.

Capitales reliever Marvin Gorgas threw two innings and notched his first win of the season. Gorgas gave up a run on two hits and fanned two batters.

For Sussex County in the loss, leadoff hitter Noah Cummings led the way going 1-for-2 with a pair of walks and three runs scored.
