New Jersey SkyCats News Release

Mahwah, NJ. Ron Eford, CEO of the ABA New Jersey Jaguars, joined forces with the Gloria Wise Boys & Girls Club's 1st Annual Youth Conference over the weekend in Bronx, New York and conducted two basketball clinics for the kids who attended.

Nearly 1500 attendees, ages 13-21, took part in computer, drug & alcohol awareness, AIDS awareness, dance, chess, and other workshops. In addition, participants were entertained by several different youth performances.

As part of the event, two basketball clinics were held as part of the mentoring program the Jaguars are developing as a way to work with children in the NJ/NY metropolitan area.

According to Eford, "The Jaguars are proud to be involved with the Gloria Wise Boy & Girls Club to help enhance the lives of children. One of our stated goals off the court is to build a strong presence in the community, actively seeking to have a positive impact in the lives of young children. This clinic was an example of that commitment and we have other events coming up that will continue to build upon these foundation core values."

The New Jersey Jaguars will begin their inaugural season in November at the Bill Bradley Center on the campus of Ramapo College in Mahwah, NJ. For information, go to www.JerseyJaguars.com or email: info@jerseyjaguars.com or log onto www.abalive.com.
