New England Revolution News Release
Beginning this Thursday, November 11, three New England Revolution players - Matt Turner (United States), Tajon Buchanan (Canada), and Arnór Traustason (Iceland) - will feature for their respective national teams in FIFA World Cup Qualifying action. All six matches are available to view in the United States via national television or streaming service. Here is a breakdown of November's qualifying action including notes on participating Revolution players and viewing information for each match.
Matt Turner - United States
Where to Watch:
Friday, November 12 vs. Mexico - 9:00 p.m. ET - ESPN2, Univision, TUDN, SiriusXM
Tueday, November 16 at Jamaica - 6:00 p.m. ET - Paramount+, UNIVERSO
Standings: The U.S. sits in 2nd place in the 8-team "Octagonal" final round of qualifying, three points behind Mexico. After 14 games played, the top 3 teams will advance to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The 4th-ranked team will advance to an intercontinental playoff.

Matt Turner has started five of the United States' six games in World Cup Qualifying action, posting an overall record of 9-1-2 record with 8 shutouts in his 12 career starts.
Set a new club record with 17 wins this season, including an 11-1-2 mark at Gillette Stadium.

Standings: Canada finds itself in 3rd place in the 8-team "Octagonal" final round of qualifying, four points behind first-place Mexico and just one point back of second-place United States. After 14 games played, the top 3 teams will advance to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The 4th-ranked team will advance to an intercontinental playoff.

Tajon Buchanan owns 3 goals and 4 assists in 14 caps with Canada - all in 2021 - including 2 goal and 3 assists in World Cup Qualifying action.
In Canada's most recent match, a 4-1 triumph over Panama, Buchanan tallied his third international goal of the 2021 calendar year.
Buchanan is looking to lead Canada to its first World Cup since 1986, and its second all-time.
Buchanan was the Best Young Player and a Best XI selection at the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup.
Arnór Traustason - Iceland

Sunday, November 14 at North Macedonia - 12:00 p.m. ET - ESPN+
Standings: Iceland currently occupies fifth place in UEFA's Group J with a 2-4-2 record (8 pts.) through 8 games played. The top-ranked team in the group after 10 games qualifies for the 2022 Qatar World Cup, while the 2nd-place team advances to a playoff. While Iceland cannot win their group, they remain just five points out of second place with a chance to contend for the final playoff spot.
Player Notes:
Traustason has been capped 40 times by the Iceland National Team, tallying five goals.
The midfielder featured in three World Cup Qualifying matches with Iceland in March, having previously made international appearances at the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the 2016 UEFA European Championship.
In his first season in MLS, Traustason has made 29 appearances with 18 starts for New England and ranks third on the team with seven assists to go along with two goals.
