New England Revolution News Release
Beginning this Thursday, October 7, three New England Revolution players - Matt Turner (United States), Tajon Buchanan (Canada), and Adam Buksa (Poland) - will feature for their respective national teams in FIFA World Cup Qualifying action. All 8 matches are available to view in the United States via national television or streaming service. Here is a breakdown of October's qualifying action including notes on participating Revolution players and viewing information for each match.
Matt Turner - United States
Where to Watch:
Thursday, October 7 vs. Jamaica - 7:45 p.m. ET - ESPN2, Univision, TUDN, SiriusXM
Sunday, October 10 at Panama - 6:00 p.m. ET - Paramount+, UNIVERSO
Wednesday, October 13 vs. Costa Rica - 7:00 p.m. ET - ESPN2, UniMas, TUDN
Standings: The U.S. is equal with Canada in 2nd place in the 8-team "Octagonal" final round of qualifying. After 14 games played, the top 3 teams will advance to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The 4th-ranked team will advance to an intercontinental playoff.
Player Notes:
Matt Turner started all 3 games in September's World Cup Qualifying action. He is unbeaten with an 8-0-2 record and 7 shutouts in his 10 career starts.
He is a combined 14-1-5 since July 3 in action for the USMNT and first-place Revolution.
Turner has already set the record for most appearances by a USMNT goalkeeper in his debut year.
Tajon Buchanan - Canada

Tajon Buchanan owns 2 goals and 4 assists in 12 caps with Canada - all in 2021 - including 1 goal and 3 assists in World Cup Qualifying action.
Buchanan is looking to lead Canada to its first World Cup since 1986, and its second all-time.
Buchanan was the Best Young Player and a Best XI selection at the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup.
Adam Buksa - Poland

Saturday, October 9 vs. San Marino - 2:45 p.m. ET - ESPN+
Tuesday, October 12 at Albania - 2:45 p.m. ET - ESPN+
Standings: Poland is in 3rd place in UEFA's Group I with a 3-1-2 record (11 pts.) through 6 games played. Poland earned 7 points from 3 games in September's qualifying action. The top-ranked team in the group after 10 games qualifies for the 2022 Qatar World Cup, while the 2nd-place team advances to a playoff.
Player Notes:
Adam Buksa scored 4 goals in his first 3 career caps with the Poland National Team in September's qualifiers. Buksa is the only one of UEFA's top-25 goal scorers in qualifying that does not represent a European club.
Buksa currently leads all players in UEFA qualifying in goals per 90 minutes (1.90), minutes per goal (47), goal conversion (80%), and is tied for best shot accuracy (100%).
With 13 goals this year and 19 goals in his career, Buksa is tied for the 3rd-most goals by a Polish player in MLS history.
