FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution Academy opened the MLS NEXT spring season last Sunday, securing two wins and two draws after welcoming Met Oval to Gillette Stadium.
The U-17s scored four goals in a shutout victory over Met Oval with Jamie Kabuusu (2006 - Chestnut Hill, Mass.) and Raphael Alves (2007 - Framingham, Mass.) each tallying while Eric Martinez (2006 - Perris, Calif.) notched a brace, tying him with Olger Escobar (2006 - Malden. Mass.) for the team lead in goals scored with seven on the season. Owen Beninga (2007 - Jackson, W.Y.) and Marshall Nason Martin (2007 - Norwood, Mass.) combined for the clean sheet in net.
The U-15s scored five goals as Cristiano Carlos (2008 - Chicopee, Mass.) extended his team lead to nine tallies on the year after adding on two more vs. Met Oval. The forward saw his first scoring opportunity with a scorpion kick that hit the post. Hector Orozco (2007 - Arp, T.X.), Tommy Tsouros (2008 - Bow, N.H.), and Cliff-Grova Rwabira (2008 - Portland, M.E.) also each tallied as Jose Goodman Millman (2008 - Cocheton, N.Y.) kept the clean sheet.
Marco Dos Santos (2005 - Methuen, Mass.) tallied twice in the U-19s match vs. Met Oval to secure the team's third draw of the year while Jonathan Cante (2009 - Pawtucket, R.I.) tallied his second goal of the 2022-23 season in the U-14s 1-1 tie, rounding out an unbeaten weekend for the Revolution Academy.

Midfielder Marcos Dos Santos (2005 - Methuen, Mass.) brought his season total to seven goals on the year after notching a brace against Met Oval in the U-19s 2-2 draw.
Midfielder Jamie Kabuusu (2006 - Chestnut Hills, Mass.) scored his first goal of the season in the U-17s 4-0 win while forward Eric Martinez (2006 - Perris, Calif) scored twice to tie him with forward Olger Escobar (2006 - Malden, Mass.) for the team lead in goals scored with seven.
The U-17s now hold a 9-3-1 record and have scored three or more goals in eight of their 13 games played this season.
Forward Cristiano Carlos (2008 - Chicopee, Mass.) tallied his eighth and ninth goals of the season in the U-15s' 5-0 win over Met Oval.
Forward Jonathan Cante (2009 - Pawtucket, R.I.) scored his second goal of the year in the 78th minute to secure the third draw of the U-14s' season.
