Montreal, Jan. 26, 2007 - Montreal Alouettes' Vice President, General Manager and Head Coach Jim Popp announced today that veteran tackle Uzooma Okeke has signed a new contract with the Alouettes.
Okeke will begin its 11th season with the Alouettes and his 14th in the Canadian Football League. He started in 1994 with the since-defunct Shreveport Pirates before joining the Ottawa Rough Riders in 1996. He played his first game with the Alouettes in 1997. He has since been named seven times to the East Division and CFL All-Star teams, in addition to being named the CFL's Most Outstanding Lineman in 1999 and three times the East Division's Most Outstanding Lineman. He is 36.
