New Broadcaster to Bring Cutters\' Games to the World Wide Web

New Haven County Cutters News Release
New Haven County Cutters fans will become very familiar with the voice of Brian Irizarry this season, as he has been named the club's broadcaster for 2005.
Irizarry started working behind the microphone during his college days when he provided the play-by-play for the Herkimer County (NY) Community College soccer and lacrosse teams in addition to doing a weekly "Sports Update" show. The Hopewell Junction, NY native moved on to the State University of New York at Oswego and was active on the school's radio and television channels, covering men and women's basketball, hockey and baseball.
A life-long sports fan, Irizarry will be broadcasting every Cutters game over the Internet. Listeners can go to www.CuttersBaseball.com starting May 26 at 7 p.m. to catch all the action.
Another new member of the Cutters behind the scenes staff is Sam Fletcher, who will be handling the day-to-day media relations for the team through Wirz & Associates, the club's public relations agency. A 2004 graduate of Wesleyan University and a resident of Darien, CT, Fletcher has worked for the Darien Times newspaper and as a staff writer for Wesleyan's newspaper, the Argus.
Rookie Hurler Joining Cutters
The Cutters latest signing is of Shane Moran, a right-handed pitcher from Troy, AL. The rookie played at Mississippi Gulf Coast Junior College and Troy State.
Moran will be used primarily out of the bullpen.
The Cutters' home opener is Memorial Day, May 30, at 6:05 against the Bangor (ME) Lumberjacks. Season and group tickets are available at Yale Field or by calling 203 777-5636.
