New Address for Solar Bears as Executive Offices Expand with Five New Hires, Five Promotions

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Toronto Marlies, announced today that the team's executive offices will relocate to 2200 Lucien Way, Suite 400, Maitland, FL 32751 on Monday, September 21, 2015. The team will continue to hold its practices at the RDV Ice Den and home games will continue to be played at the Amway Center. This season, Solar Bears practice times will shift to 11:00 a.m. at RDV (typically 75 minutes in length) and will continue to be open to the public.

In related news, the Solar Bears have also announced the hiring of five new staff members and the promotion of five current staff members.

"We are excited to welcome our new employees to the Solar Bears family and proud to announce and recognize those individuals who have earned a promotion as they take on their new and expanded roles," Solar Bears President/CEO Jason Siegel said.

The following staff members have received promotions:

Mark Nolte - Vice President of Creative Services - Nolte is beginning his fourth season with the Solar Bears after joining the team for its inaugural 2012-13 "Out of Hibernation" campaign, working within and leading Orlando's Group Sales Department, while overseeing the team's game-day presentation, including PA, music, video and in-game entertainment. Nolte will now oversee the team's creative, public relations and community initiatives. Nolte is a 2011 graduate of Binghamton University (N.Y.) and earned his MBA from Binghamton the following year.

Chris Carmichael - Vice President of Ticket Operations - Carmichael is beginning his fourth season with the Solar Bears after joining the team for its inaugural 2012-13 "Out of Hibernation" campaign, working within the team's Season Ticket Sales Department, and has taken on several additional responsibilities which included community relations; he is now taking on an expanded role handling Ticket Operations as well as spearheading the Solar Bears' rollout of their new tourism program. Carmichael is a 2008 graduate of Monmouth University (N.J.).

Justin DeRazza - Vice President of Premium Ticket Sales & Service - DeRazza is beginning his fourth season with the Solar Bears after joining the team for its inaugural 2012-13 "Out of Hibernation" campaign, working within the team's Season Ticket Sales Department; he is now taking on an expanded role in overseeing the team's Premium Ticket Sales Department. DeRazzais a 2009 graduate of the University of Central Florida.

Samantha Piotrowski - Vice President of Merchandising & Game Entertainment - Piotrowski is beginning her fourth season with the Solar Bears after joining the team for its inaugural 2012-13 "Out of Hibernation" campaign, working within and leading the team's Merchandise and Game Entertainment Department, including coaching the Solar Bears Dance Team. Piotrowski is a 2012 graduate of Central Michigan University.

Erin Croce - Senior Group Ticket Sales Account Manager - Croce is beginning her second season with the Solar Bears after joining the team prior to the 2014-15 campaign, working within the team's Group Ticket Sales Department. Croce is a graduate of Plymouth State (Mass.) University.

Nolte, Carmichael, DeRazza and Croce were all part of the Solar Bears Ticket Sales Department, which received recognition as the ECHL's 2014-15 Ticket Department of the Year at league meetings this past June.

The following individuals have recently joined the Solar Bears staff:

Terri McCoy - Vice President of Corporate Partnerships - McCoy joins the Solar Bears after spending the past 12 years as a Senior Account Executive for Clear Channel Outdoor. McCoy is a graduate of Florida State University.

Joe Herbert - Director of Season Ticket & Group Ticket Sales - Herbert joins the Solar Bears after spending the past three seasons with the Tampa Bay Rays (MLB). Herbert is a 2011 graduate of the University of Tampa.

Terry Goldstein - Director of Corporate Ticket Sales - Goldstein joins the Solar Bears after spending the previous 11 seasons with the New York Islanders (NHL) and 14 years with Sports Authority. Goldstein is a 1980 graduate of Baruch College and City University of New York.

Jesse Liebman - Director of Communications & Broadcasting - Liebman joins the Solar Bears after spending the previous three seasons with the Ontario Reign (L.A. Kings affiliate). Liebman is a 2011 graduate of Emerson College (Mass.).

Taylor Bartz - Community Relations Coordinator - Bartz joins the Solar Bears after graduating from the University of Iowa in 2015, where she earned her degree in Journalism & Mass Communications.

The Solar Bears open their fourth season of competition in the ECHL on Saturday, Oct. 17 against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits at the Amway Center at 7:00 p.m.
