Nedomlel Returns to Toledo

Toledo, OH - Defenseman Richard Nedomlel (NEED-oh-mel) has been reassigned to the Toledo Walleye from the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL.

Nedomlel, the native of Prague, Czech Republic, appeared in 49 games last season with Toledo picking up 14 points (3G, 11A). The former 6th round draft choice of Detroit in 2011 had a pair of assists and was a plus 6 in twelve post season games last year for the Walleye. He had 18 points (8G, 10A) and 150 penalty minutes in his first professional season (2013-14) with the Walleye and did not have a point in three games with the Griffins.

Prior to his pro debut, Nedomlel appeared in 210 games over three seasons with the Swift Current Broncos of the WHL. The 22-year-old defenseman collected 84 total points (17G, 67A) over his junior career and served as an assistant captain in 2012-13 for Swift Current.

In other transactions, Forwards Max Gaede, Adam Chapman, and Ben Warda have been released from the 2015 Walleye training camp.

Warda had one assist in one preseason game while Gaede and Chapman did not have any points. Chapman did have nine penalty minutes in the two games.
