Cary, N.C. - The North Carolina Courage (2W-0L-2D) will travel to Chicago for their second away match of the season on Sunday, May 12 at 6:00 p.m. ET. The two teams tied 1-1 in their first meeting of the season in the NWSL season opener. The game which will take place in SeatGeek Stadium will be streamed on YahooSports.com.

The Chicago Red Stars scored first on April 13 when the teams last met. Sam Kerr got the goal in the 26th minute. Forty minutes later, Crystal Dunn got the equalizer. Jessica McDonald earned the assist on the goal after throwing it into Dunn who hit a low hard ball into the back of the net. The series history between the Courage and Red Stars remains even at 3W-3L-3D.

The North Carolina Courage's most recent game was on Saturday, May 4 against Sky Blue FC. After an hour and a half weather delay that started just minutes into the second half, the two teams were held even for the rest of the match. The 0-0 result was the first time the Courage had been held scoreless since July 20, 2018, when they tied the Utah Royals 0-0.

NC Courage players Abby Dahlkemper, Crystal Dunn, Jessica McDonald and Sam Mewis were not with the team to play Sky Blue after being named the United States FIFA Women's World Cup Roster. Despite not playing in Week 4, Crystal Dunn remains the NWSL's leading scorer with four goals.

The Chicago Red Stars were handed their first loss of the season against Utah Royals on Friday, May 3. Amy Rodriguez scored the only goal of the game in the 84th minute to lead the Royals to victory in a very physical game. Chicago forward, Katie Johnson, received a red card in the 42nd minute which will prevent her from playing in Sunday's match against the Courage.
