NBC Championship Game to be Televised

WICHITA, KS- The National Baseball Congress World Series and Cox Communications have partnered to air the championship game of the BaseballSavings.com 76th annual National Baseball Congress World Series on Kansas 22.

The game is scheduled for Friday, August 13th at 6:00 p.m. and caps off 15 days of baseball in the nation's largest and most historic amateur tournament.

"This nationwide tournament is a Wichita tradition that Kansas 22 is proud to be a part of", said Janet Barnard, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Cox Kansas/Arkansas. "Cox customers across 85 Kansas communities can watch as the nation's finest baseball athletes go head-to-head when this year's championship round airs live with exclusive coverage on Cox Cable channel 22"

The game will be re-telecast twice and will be made available for the On Demand platform.

"The National Baseball Congress is very excited about this partnership with COX Communications," said, Casey Walkup, Operations Manager for the National Baseball Congress. "Kansas 22 has proved to be the leader in the state when it comes to televising major sporting events. We feel being back on television for the first time since 2005 will provide our tournament and its stellar players with the coverage they deserve, potentially leading to a larger television audience in the future."

Kansas 22 is the premier television station for Kansas programming, continually airing events with statewide interest.
